About
Over the four-month semester, five individuals and I conducted marketing research to understand the wants and needs for housing between students and more specifically the residents of Hub Madison. The Hub Madison is known for their location, countless amenities, and furnished apartments. However, many students hesitate to live here due to its extreme prices. Many students struggle with finding affordable and accessible housing every year and we wanted to understand the role Hub plays in this. Through surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews, we discovered the preferences of students on campus as well as their views on the Hub Madison. Additionally, I used my creativity to design the slide theme and where to place text and images to make the presentation clean and cohesive. Overall, this project allowed me to understand how marketing research works and conduct marketing research on an issue around campus that many students deal with daily.
Motivation
The UW-Madison campus has a large housing crisis causing students to struggle with affordable and accessible housing. This issue is the main motive behind the marketing research we conducted.
